DRUG Case, Mamta Kulkarni declared ABSCONDER

As per fresh reports, the Thane sessions court has declared Mamta Kulkarni and boyfriend Vicky Goswami as absconders in the drug haul case in Mumbai.

The court has found them as the main accused in the Rs 2000 crore Ephedrine drug haul case and declared them as the 'Proclaimed Offenders'.

The came came to light in April 2016 when the Thane Police arrested two drug peddlers. During interrogation, the peddlers had revealed that the source of the drug was Avon Lifescience Pvt Ltd. in Solapur, which is allegedly owned by Goswami.

After a year of investigation, in March this year, the Thane police found out that Ephedrine was being diverted from Avon Life science to a Kenya-based drug cartel, allegedly headed by Goswami where it was used to make party-drug Methamphetamine.
