Sridevi's Body Finally handed over to the Family Members: Case CLOSED

As per fresh updates, the Dubai Public Prosecutor's Office has given the case a closure and cleared all the remaining paper work. They have finally handed over Sridevi's body to the family.

"Sridevi case closed. It has decided to hand over the body of the Indian actress to her relatives following the investigation of her death, a statement from the Dubai Public Prosecutor's Office.

A clearance letter to repatriate the body has been given to the family.

Her body will now be taken for embalming and this process will last for around 2 hours. After which the family members will complete the immigration process and fly down to India.

In a tweet, the Dubai Media office said: "The Public Prosecutor's Office in Dubai has stated: 'The decision to release the body came after all the investigations and procedural matters followed in such incidents were completed, in order to determine all its circumstances and ensure that justice was done within the framework of the law'."

Authorities in Dubai have just given the go ahead to repatriate the body of Indian actress Sridevi who died here on Saturday night. Sources confirmed to Gulf News that no objection certificate to release the mortal remains of the celebrated actress was handed over to the representatives of the Indian Consulate and her family at around 12:45pm.

At 12:57pm the Indian consulate tweeted that the Dubai Police has handed over the Consulate and the family members letters for the release of the mortal remains of the Indian cinema icon Sridevi Boney Kapoor so that they can proceed for embalming.
