Being a fan can at times land you in big troubles! And this became evident from a recent incident wherein a Pakistani shoemaker landed himself in a legal trouble after shared details about sending Peshawari sandals made from deer's skin to Bollywood superstar
Shah Rukh Khan.
As per reports in DawnNews, on a special request made by King Khan, his cousin Noor Jehan who resides in Peshawar approached shoemaker Jehangir Khan and asked him to make two pairs of Peshawari chappals (in Kaptaan Chappal style) for SRK so she can take them to India with her on her visit.
Since, the shoemaker is a huge fan of SRK, he decided to make it and gift him the special Peshawari chappals made from deer skin.
But, little did he know that doing so would land him in jail!
"Apparently Jahangir Khan is a big fan of Shahrukh and decided to send the Bollywood star a special gift, Peshawari sandals made out of deer skin, from his side. Soon after the news spread, the wildlife department officials contacted us and filed a complaint. We had to go and pick up Jahangir who is now behind bars," a local police official said.
Investigations are on to confirm whether the deer skin has been used by the shoemaker to make the sandals. "If he has used deer skin than he will face fine and prosecution as under wildlife laws," a wildlife official in Peshawar told.
