Shah Rukh Khan to remake Breaking Bad!

Shah Rukh Khan has recently stated that he would like to make a Hindi film version of the popular English series Breaking Bad. Shah Rukh Khan has been a fan of the series ever since it came out.

Here is a tweet from 2013 that shows Shah Rukh is hooked on to the series since a long time.

Well it's not a bad idea at all but it will definitely disturb the hard core fans of the series. Breaking Bad currently stands at number 1 with a rating of 9.5 on the international charts. There are several reasons why the movie will let down the legacy of Breaking Bad.

Firstly, Breaking Bad was based on drugs and the struggle of a man who is trying to save his family. The show is very deep and the character design of each actor is huge! Making the audience connect with a deep character like Walter White in a few minutes is extremely difficult.

Since breaking bad revolves around one specific drug that is Crystal Meth, it would be a tough sell in India. But, just in case Shah Rukh takes up an Indian Drug like Charas; then the whole Breaking Bad feel would rocket out of the window.

Instead of making an Indian adaptation they could just pick up the wire frame of the show and sculpt a new story around it. Lets hope for the best!
