After doing a few South Indian films, Shalini turned herself to television. Currently, she''s playing Methalli in Balaji''s Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki, where she''s opposite Jatin Shah and Jeetu. Off-screen, Shalini is engaged to South actor (who also plays Batuk in KGGK) Mahesh Kumar.
