Shruti Hassan's Big Second Chance?

Shruti's debut in Bollwood did not prove to be her first taste of success, as Luck, opposite Imran Khan, turned out to be a futile experiment in film making.


It was her mom Sarika whose contacts were first used to launch Shruti through Luck and now daddy Kamal Hassan takes the reigns into his hands to give daughter Shruti a second big chance.


As the story goes, director A. R Murugadoss (of Ghajini fame), had gone to Papa Kamal Hassan for discussing a project. A serendipitous stroke for Shruti, who's name Kamal Hassan promptly suggested to Murugadoss.


It was then decided that Shruti Hassan would be the female lead in the director's upcoming film Ezham Arivu (The Seventh Sense). Of course this film was originally meant to release only in Tamil and Telugu but now a version in Hindi is also being planned. With that also comes Shruti's second attempt to fame. Director Murugadoss himself confirms Shruti's re-launch, by describing Shruti's role to be a powerful one, in this medical sci-fi thriller which will employ special effects of unprecedented caliber in southern cinema.


Of course, with a parallel Bollywood release of the same project, Shruti should put her very best foot forward to not disappoint a second time.
