Shakti: The Power stars Karisma Kapoor, Nana Patekar, Sanjay Kapoor in the main roles. Shahrukh Khan has an extended appearance, while Aishwarya Rai has special appearance in an Item number. This was meant to be Sridevi's comeback film but was put on hold when she realised she was pregnant with her second child and asked her favourite Karisma Kapoor to step in. Karisma Kapoor and Nana Patekar's acting were acclaimed by fans and critics and received nominations at a number of award ceremonies.
