Model turned actress Saloni Aswani, hailing from a non-filmi
background, always wanted to be in films. To pursue her goal, she
started doing plays at a younger age of 12 and joined the theatre group
called Kala Sansad. The petite pretty lass started her stint with the
glamour world after a couple of modeling assignments for reputed brands
like Vaseline, Parachute, Moov, Lifebuoy, Three Roses Tea etc. A
graduate in psychology, Saloni debuted with the Bollywood film 'Dil
Pardesi Ho Gayaa' (2003). After that, the Mumbai based beauty got
offers from Telugu films and made her entry into Southern films with
the film 'Dhana-51'. In 2006 she did the Hindi flick 'Saawan: the love
season'.
