About Rahul Bhatt

Rahul Bhatt (born on January 24, 1982), is an Indian fitness trainer and aspiring film actor. The son of famous film director Mahesh Bhatt and Kiran Bhatt, Rahul gained unwitting notoriety in 2009 following revelations that David Headley, an accused in the 2008 Mumbai attacks, had befriended him.

The son of Mahesh Bhatt, Rahul weighed 122 kilograms before he began working out. He thanks his fitness mentor Kaizad Kapadia. It is said that Rahul's father planned to launch him in 2007 with the film, Suicide Bomber, to be directed by Anurag Basu.

In September 2008, Rahul Bhatt and friend Vilas Varak  met Headley at a Mumbai gym. Headley seemed like a typical American, and he had much more experience than his young Indian friends in the areas of guns, spycraft, and action movies. After the 26/11 attacks, Headley wrote Rahul an email in which he said he was sorry to hear about what had happened in Mumbai, and that he would soon be visiting them again.

In September 2010, Rahul was approached to become part of the Indian television reality show, Bigg Boss 4, hosted by Salman Khan.
