About Abbas Khan

Birth name is RajKuwar Mohammed Hussain Abbas Khan. Born on 6 January 1980, Hyderabad (Born), Lucknow (Upbringing & Schooling), India, and the eldest of three children, Abbas is a graduate in Law from K.S.Law College, Mangalore. After graduating, he pursued drama at the Dramatics Art and Design Academy, New Delhi, immediately after which he did played with established actors like Late Manohar Singh, Zohra Sehgal, Amaal Alana, Nisar Alana, Rashid Ansari, Salima Raza to name a few. In 2004 Abbas was one of the finalist in "Zee India's Best Cine Stars Ki Khoj" representing Lucknow. Offered a starring role in a Telefilm "Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas" for Zee TV produced by Anjum Rizvi in 2005. He appeared as Dr.Siddhanth in TV serial produced by Zee TV in 'Astitva – Ek Prem Kahani'.In 2007 he played the lead as Basheer in 'Mohalla Mohabbat Wala' directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia and produced by Deepti Bhatnagar Productions for Sony Sab.He also did three more serials for Sony Sab namely 'Jersey No.10', 'Lo Hogayi Pooja Is Ghar Ki' and 'Sirf Stories'. Currently he is doing a film for Shyam Ramsay Productions 'Chor Pe Mor' releasing in end of 2009.

Abbas is also a story, screenplay and dialogue writer. He has written the Hyderabadi dialogues for a comedy film called 'Sankat City' directed by Pankaj Advani. He recently completed writing for another comedy film which will be shot in Lucknow early next year, produced by Roshan Abbas.

Abbas also portrayed the role of young King 'Quli Qutub Shah' in a documentary film 'Zaban-e-Ishq' for Doordarshan directed by Muzzafar Ali.
