While BollyCurry has been surprising by making advances in exploring new and intriguing plots and themes, it has also been disappointing when it comes to its music choices. You ask why? Well, because all we hear are lyrics strife with innuendos, abusive language, and suggestive words, thrown over similarly catchy, autotuned compositions. Almost every new song that hits the charts seems to increase the sleaze factor and take the calibre of Bollywood music to a new low, be it "Aao Raja" from
Gabbar Is Backor "Kaddu Katega" from
R...Rajkumar.Worse though is realizing that these kind of songs have existed in Bollywood for a long time.

Do you remember the 1993 movie
Khalnayak? While it may be because of the story, one of the bigger reasons is because of the super hit song "Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai". While we know that the answer is
dil(heart), we wonder what type of
dilis this that needs such a suggestive discussion.

Another song that made headlines during itstime was "Chad Gaya Upar Re" from the movie
Dalaal(1993)
.The song was quite suggestive and explained the birds and bee concept quite well. Thank you Bollywood for that rather detailed explanation!

"Main Laya Hu Apna Chuha" was one of most suggestive songs that hit the chart during 1994 from the movie
Yaar Gaddar. Now we wonder, why would one carry a rat when you want to meet your girlfriend? We're hoping your girlfriend is a vet or that you're Ron Weasley, because we really can't find any other legitimate reasons. Of course, let's not think about other meanings the word could have.
Though we must not regress in the past. As time went on, the double meaning, suggestive songs, gave away to a new type of music. Today, Bollywood is ruled by so-called 'A' rated songs.

In 2011, "Bhaag D.K. Bose" from
Delhi Belly(2011) became a rage amongst much of the youth. The music was loud, obnoxious, and exactly what most people like to hear. But when you listen to the songs carefully, you will find that there are many suggestive, and perverted words in it. In fact the title "D.K. Bose" is actually a pun on a certain popular curse word.

We're not done just yet. Bollywood lovers were shocked when they saw Rani Mukherji in a bold avatar. We are talking about "DreamumWakeuppam" from
Aiyyaa(2012)
.If the lyrics aren't vulgar enough, then all you need to do is watch the video. Enough said!

Want more? "I Am A Hunter" from
Gangs of Wasseypur(2012) gives tough competition to many songs. Completely vulgar, you don't even need a dirty mind to know what this song suggests. Don't know this song? Then you're probably better off, and we wouldn't recommendit to anyone!
As the years have gone on, the lyrics have gotten more crude and crass. From "20-20" to "Tu Issaq Mera" to "Dekhega Raja Trailer", the list is endless. That is not to say that Bollywood is only full of such music, yet one can't help but wonder why such songs continue to rise in popularity. Nonetheless, do share your thoughts and comments on songs that you feel would fall into this list. Of course, we couldn't list every song as it would be an impossibly long list, but we are sure that you all do have some ideas of your own!
