2015 Preview: Fresh On-Screen Pairings!

New is the year, so new are the hopes and expectations of all the Bollywood fans. The year 2015 has just begun, but we have some amazing releases to look forward to already. Along with the hit pairs coming back together for a success formula, we also have a line-up of movies with a brand new fresh Jodi, who will try their luck on the silver screen together. Individually, the actors have proved their mettle and the new pairs will let them showcase their versatility. So, we bring to you the list of some of the new couples coming your way in the year 2015. Actors like Deepika Padukone, Varun Dhawan, Sonam Kapoor, Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif and many others will be seen with their first time ever co-lead actor on-screen. Stay tuned as we present to you 5 of the most buzzing pairs this season of entertainment.

Undeniably one of the leading actress of the industry, Deepika Padukone has always tried experimenting with different roles and scripts. Piku, a comedy-drama film opposite the very versatile actor Irrfan Khan, directed by Shoojit Sircar, is Padukone's next venture this year. Irrfan Khan has played mostly serious characters in the past, but this film involves a romantic angle between Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan. The film will also star the evergreen Amitabh Bachchan. Piku is one the most awaited films of this year and is scheduled for release in April 2015.

Vikas Bahl's destination wedding film Shaandaar will give Alia Bhatt and Shahid Kapoor a chance to be seen on-screen together for the very first time. To be released somewhere around August this year, the film is expected to be a lighthearted movie with hopefully great chemistry between the two. We are definitely looking forward to seeing how this jodi between the original chocolate boy and the new student fares!

Rajshree Productions will bring together the unique jodi of Sonam Kapoor and Salman Khan. Without breaking the generic storyline of Barjatya's family dramas, this one too happens to be a movie for all. The movie will see Salman Dabangg Khan making a comeback as "Prem" after numerous years, while the ever stylish Sonam will be portraying a princess. The flick named Prem Ratan Dhan Payo is set to release around Diwali this year.

Bombay Velvet is a film based on the book "Mumbai Fables". It's the story of a boxer, Johnny Balraaj, and a struggling singer, Rosie, and how their dreams and hopes collide with everyday reality. Bubbly and beautiful Anushka Sharma and the dashingly handsome Ranbir Kapoor come together for this one and we are sure this couple will be loved and adored by many. The film is expected to be released in May 2015, if the filming and schedule progresses as planned.

The much awaited sequel to the extremely popular ABCD, ABCD 2 features Shraddha Kapoor and Varun Dhawan as the lead actors. The Kapoor girl and Dhawan boy are best buddies since childhood and we are hopeful that their camaraderie will convert to amazing on-screen chemistry. Following in the footsteps of the original, the film is based on the dance genre and will highlight the adversities faced by a dancer to fulfill their dreams.

Apart from these new jodis, this year will also bring forth the duos of  Sonakshi Sinha and Arjun Kapoor, Katrina Kaif and Aditya Roy Kapur and a few others. With great expectations and high hopes, we wish all the actors the very best of luck for their upcoming projects.
