Army, in Jharkhand. She has a younger brother, Siddharth, and actresses
Parineeti Chopra, Meera Chopra and Barbie Handa are her
cousin-sisters. She attended La Martiniere Girls' School in Lucknow
and St. Maria Goretti College in Bareilly before moving to the USA to
pursue further studies. In the States she attended schools in Newton,
Massachusetts,

Miss India Contest and won the Femina Miss India World title. She
then participated in the Miss World pageant where she was crowned
with Miss World 2000 and Miss World Continental Queen of Beauty Asia

(2002), a Tamil film, opened the doors of Bollywood for Chopra and she
bagged the second lead role in Anil Sharma's The
Hero: Love Story of a Spy
