The whole Bollywood is well aware of Rahul Bose and his acting
capability but it’s really sad that the actor has not been offered the
acknowledgement even close to his ability. But once a diamond is always
a diamond! So, Rahul is out to prove his prowess and this time it’s far
far away, inRahul Bose" src="http://www.india-forums.com/bollywood/images/uploads/rahul_bose_big.jpg" align="right" border="" hspace="5" vspace="5"> Hollywood.
Rahul’s character, T K, in Santosh Sivan’s Before the Rains, received
lot of good wishes and pool of praises from the New York Times’ critic
Stephen Holden. The prestige offered with a critical appreciation by
the New York Times is not quite unknown to national or international
filmy people. Besides that Rahul got hyped by Venis Magazine for his
amazingly portraying the character of T K. And all those are topped
with praising words by the director Santosh Sivan himself though it’s
first film for him to work with Rahul.
Talking about the equation between him and Santosh, Rahul says, “He
(Santosh) is from South and I am from Mumabi. We never had chance to
work together but the way he decided about my character in the film,
proves a great hype in my career and the whole credit of the fact goes
to him only.”
Rahul, in Before the Rains, plays such a character who is from a South
Indian village and despite having rooted to the culture of village, he
is hued with modernity. According to Rahul it’s such a complex
character that he really loved to portray.
The fun behind the fiction is that the character, that gives Rahul so
much fame and a glowing name, was rejected by Rahul himself because he
was asked for an audition. But it was blindly believed by Rahul’s
manager that T K can be portrayed only by Rahul.
