Tusshar was
born to Jeetendra, a Bollywood actor, and Shoba Kapoor, an ex-air
hostess, on November 20th, 1976. His sister, Ekta Kapoor, is a
well-known TV producer and creative director of Balaji Telefilms.
Tusshar Kapoor has studied at the University of Michigan and graduated
with a MBA from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business. He made his debut with Kareena Kapoor Khan in the film Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai
which released in 2001. This film went on to fetch him Filmfare Award
for Best Male Debutant in that year. Though he tasted initial success,
his future films like Kucch To Hai and Kyaa Dil Ne Kaha failed to emulate that success. In 2004, he was recognized for the role in Gayab in which he played the role of a shy boy who gains the ability to become invisible. He has also acted in Golmaal (2006), Golmaal Retuns (2008) and Golmaal 3 (2010). He played a comical role in those movies and his performance was praised by one and all.
Both Golmaal and Golmaal Returns
were a huge hit at the box office and he won awards like IIFA Award for
Best Performance In Comic Role and Stardust Award for Best Actor In A
Supporting Role. Besides acting he is also involved in production work
along with his family. He now has two films Bhaiyyaji Superhit and Run Bohla run under his belt.
