Bollywood's Scared, Are You?

All of us have our own fears, whether it is a reasonably rational fear or one that we'd rather not admit we have. Well, our B-Town celebs are no different! We bring to you the fears of your favorite Bollywood stars. At the end of the day, everyone has something they are afraid of, whether a minor thing like a spider or something more life threatening!

When talking about fears the first one to pop up in mind is none other than the Ooh-la-la girl Vidya Balan, who is terrified of cats. Such is the intensity of her fear that she would rather not talk about cats at all.  It wouldn't even be right to call it a fear, Vidya has Ailurophobia - the irrational fear of cats. Vidya took everyone by surprise at a magazine shoot in Kamalistan Studios when she refused to come out of her vanity van till the cat outside was out of her sight!

Being an actor comes with a package, from acting in various genres of films to dancing on desi beats. Would you have ever thought that one of Bollywood's finest actor would be scared of dancing? Well, here it is. The Khiladi #1, Akshay Kumar gets really anxious when he has to dance! Apparently, knowing he has to dance really scares and stresses him! Prabhu Deva, the director of  Akshay's hit film Rowdy Rathore, says the latter is comfortable with action and acting, but he feels stressed out when it comes to dancing.

Kareena Kapoor, the leading lady of Indian Cinema today is scared of bike stunts!  The chammak challo girl has admitted so in an interview sharing her fear of bike rides! However, she's been working on the fear! Talking about a bike stunt she did with Akshay Kumar in Kambakkt Ishq, where she had to stand up on a speeding bike which he was driving, she exclaimed how fun it was! Further mentioning a bike stunt in her recent release Agent Vinod, Bebo said that she was really excited to do the stunt with Saif! Looks like, Kareena is one of those few who are able to overcome their fear!

Taking about conquering fears, we have Bollywood's resident casanova, Ranbir Kapoor who took it as a challenge to overcome his fears of heights while shooting for Rockstar. One of the scenes involving a concert sequence needed aerial shots of it, but since the director Imtiaz Ali couldn't be in two places at once and oversee both the aerial and ground shots, he asked Ranbir to supervise the aerial takes. Ranbir who suffers from vertigo, overcame his fears and instructed the foreign Director of Photography from a chopper in the air!

Can a Jungli Billi ever be scared of another animal?! Well it seems like the Jungli Bili of Bollywood, Priyanka Chopra, was scared of horses but her determination to give her best enabled her to sail through a scene in Drona where she had to ride a horse with Abhishek Bachchan. Her fear took director Goldie Behl by surprise as she had never mentioned anything and only got edgy when the horse was brought up. Praising her determination to overcome her fear, Behl praised her professional attitude and amazing acting as no one could tell how scared she truly was once the scene was shot!

And who would have thought that one of the most successful actors is still afraid of failing? It is none other than Shah Rukh Khan who fears failure the most. It is the fear of failing that guides the actor into working hard for success. He believes it to be the perfect teacher and says that this fear is what lead him to succeed in life.

Even when you are scared of something, it might be considered a good omen in India. Similarly, the Dreamy Girl, Deepika Padukone has a phobia for snakes. During one of her shoots, she had a close encounter with a hooded snake. The distance between them was in attacking range. Even thought the encounter scared her to death, she chose to be optimistic and  considered it a good presage as it is considered to be.

Laughter makes the world go round and brightens anyone's day! However, the actress known for her bold on-screen appearances, Bipasha Basu, might be afraid of her own laughter! Now isn't that a surprise! She states she took herself by surprise while doing the laughs for Raaz 3.

Bollywood's Barbie, Katrina Kaif can be very typical. The actress has maybe one of the simplest fears possible. She's scared of darkness! Other than that, she states she is afraid of heights as well. One would say how ironic it is, seeing the height of success she stands at today.

Lastly, the actress who has stolen the hearts of many in quite a short time, Anushka Sharma, is scared of bikes; something that she has actually been seen on before! Wonder how scared she must be when she had to ride a bike in her upcoming movie, Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola!

So there you have it folks, the deepest fears of our very own Bollywood's famous! Some shared some common fears whereas others had some more personal fears. And finally, many of them seemed to have either overcome their fears or turned on their great acting skills to fool us all! It's now time to share your fears with us!
