After proving his mettle in anchoring, singing and more recently
acting, the talented Ayushman Khurana is all set to add another feather
to his hat.

kiStarting off as a host on MTV and reality shows such as
India's Got Talent and
Just Dance, and following it up by showcasing his acting chops in one of the most critically acclaimed hit entertainers of the year,
Vicky Donor, Ayushman also garnered massive appreciation for his melodious chartbuster "Pani Da" from the same movie.
And now this multi-talented actor is all set to don on a different role altogether - that of an Assistant Director!
News round the block is that Ayushman will be assisting his Vicky Donor director Shoojit Sarcar in his next venture, Jaffna, to be produced by, and star, John Abraham. The
film depicting the LTTE's separatist conflict features John as
an intelligence officer, a role which was apparently initially supposed
to be played by Ayushman himself. A second change of plans took place
when Ayushman, whose kitty is full with acting assignments off late,
decided not to assist Sarcar on the whole film, but only on the portion
of the movie designed to be shot in the once-troubled city of Jaffna in
Sri Lanka. This is anticipated to be the toughest part of the shoot.
Ayushman, who is currently busy with
Rohan Sippy's
Nautanki Sala and a
Kunal Kohli's London based untitled rom-com, will also return to star in Sarcar's
Humara Bajaj, to be shot after
Jaffna, also to be produced by John.
Here's wishing
luck to Ayushman for his new endeavour, and hoping for the Vicky Donor
trio to repeat their success in both their forthcoming ventures.
