They say that imitation is the best form of flattery. The Salman
Khan from once upon a time who was seen to pay

homage to veteran actor
Dilip Kumar by imitating him ever so often, has over the time evolved
into an icon worth impersonating for the newest crop of Bollywood
actors.
And topping this list of Sallu's admirers in none other than (Salman's own very favorite)
Imran Khan.
The Delhi Belly star in his upcoming film, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, also starring Salman's ex-flame Katrina Kaif and Ali Zafar has imbibed the style of many-a-Sallu liners and dhinka-chika moves - if, the first trailers are anything to go by!
This
upcoming release revolves around Imran's character which is shown to be
in search of a perfect bride for his brother. In an interesting turn of
events, after the perfect lady is found, and married to his brother,
Imran finds himself falling in love with this bhabhi, enacted by Katrina Kaif.
Trailers
are reflecting that Imran's admiration of Sallu implemented via
imitation goes almost a tad over board. An example, for the uninitiated,
is the scene where Katrina states that eloping in love is not easy,
Imran retorts with Salman's popular liner from Wanted .. "Ek baar jo maine commitment kar di, uske baad toh main apne aap ki bhi nahi sunta."
In another sequence he is seen pulling off Salman's larger-than-life
'towel-between-the-legs' step from 'Jeene Ke Hain Char Din
(Mujhse Shaadi Karoge); as well as the belt snapping move blockbuster
Dabbang.
Slated
for release on September 9th, the trailers of this movie have been
aired, and liked - for the Sallu-likeness, or otherwise!
The
camaraderie between this older and younger Khan duo has been on the
rise, what with Salman making public recommendations for recently
released Delhi Belly, and now Imran's onscreen tribute to the macho
senior. A reaction from Salman over these 'flatteringly imitating'
trailers is yet awaited!
