One tends to think that, given his past chapter with Kareena Kapoor and
its many gory details, getting over a heartbreak should have come as a
'been there, done that' situation for Shahid Kapur. Apparently, for all
his prowess onscreen and for all his immaculate ways, our Sasha is only
human after all, with a tendency to forget lessons learned the hard way.
Ever since the news of Priyanka Chopra and Kapur parting ways
broke out, there have been speculations aplenty about the inside scoop
on the matter. The puzzling fact has been the lay low approach on both
ends as far as public appearances are concerned, with PC remaining
neutral and claiming a 'good friends' status (again!) and Shahid remaining noncommittally tight-lipped.
However,
recent buzz has arisen over statements from inside sources over
Shahid's persistent means on getting back with Chopra. Friends of the
diva have revealed how untiring Sasha's pursuit of Priyanka has been -
in the form of calls, messages, mails, reminders, and whatnot! When PC
was recently seen with King Khan Shahrukh at a recent KKR after-match
bash, she went into a victory jig at one point, flaying and swaying her
arms, wherein people around her spotted her cell phone (clutched in her
hand) flashing constantly with Shahid's name.
Not unexpectedly,
this new bit of gossip has taken the grapevine by storm - fans of the
two stars have their reasons to empathize with or criticize Shahid's
approach and Priyanka's unmoving indifference to the matter. In the
meanwhile, the celebrities of interest themselves continue to evade
direct media confrontation over the matter.
Whether or not
Piggy Chops' piglets... err, friends... have been accurate in tagging
Shahid's behavior as that of a stalker, one thing is certain - it only
takes a party at King Khan's house to churn out a new headline about
this alleged former couple! If one is keen on learning more about their
relationship status, just wait for the next bash at Mannat!
