The Tattoo Queen - Deepika

Deepika Padukone's forthcoming release Dum Maro Dum has been generating all kinds of buzz ever since its steamy first promo aired a few weeks ago. Among plenty else that was on display and open for discussion in that glimpse of the 'remade' title song, viewers got to see dusky diva Dippy sport a wild new attitude and look, including a tattoo of the movie name on her body.

Given the amount of attention her flamboyant tattoo has received, IndiaINK Invention couldn't help but ask her be a part of their convention which was recently held on 10^th April, 2011. Unfortunately, Deepika could not make it to the convention as she was busy shooting for another upcoming film, Desi Boyz, in London.

She did not ignore the event entirely, though; instead she passed the invitation over to her Dum Maro Dum teammates Abhishek Bachhan, Rohan Sippy and Prateik Babbar. They represented her at the event in her absence. Manoj Thakur, an executive from Par Excellence Entertainment, said that Deepika's presence was sorely missed at the event as she has now earned the moniker "Tattoo Queen" (not many could have forgotten the ever controversial 'RK' on the back of her slender neck) and would've been the perfect face for this particular expo. The organization still hopes that she will attend the event some time in the future.
