Raghav in all bliss

Raghav Sachar is all in cloud nine with the recent shows that he performed and the works lined up in front of him. Back after his grand performance in Common Wealth Games 2010 Delhi, he is thrilled that the entire closing ceremony was extravagant amalgamation of music and dance in the most traditional and contemporary way without the spill of Bollywood. He says "I had a great experience with sixty five thousand people watching me in the most prestigious event of India.  With this event, we have shown that we are not a third world country and we do have the potential and showed that we can live up to the international standards. We have also zipped up the lips of those people who had criticized the way the event took off."

Coming up in his list is a show of one of a kind where his live performance will be available throughout the world. Puzzled? Raghav's upcoming show is called 'Webcert' where everyone across the world will be able to watch his show online on 26 November from 4 pm to 5pm(The link will be posted on his website www.raghavsachar.com ). He is indeed thrilled to perform such a show.

Talking about his last releases 'Om Jai Jagdish' and 'Vande Mataram' wherein both have a spiritual touch he says "I always wanted to release something in a world music manner and I have done that in both the songs. In Om Jai Jagdish I have used different instruments for each line and it is a six minute long song and Vande Mataram is a two and a half minute long video and I have used three instruments. In both the tracks there is a western touch to the song as the instruments are not Indian. And I am planning to release such tracks in the future" Om Jai Jagdish has been relaunch and it has been wonderfully received. 

Sharing with us his experience in the film industry and about his plans he says "I have done movies like Kabul Express and Sunday et al, but I am choosy when it comes to movies. I am getting offers from the industry but I am a little apprehensive about giving my music right away."
