There's no doubt that Bollywood loves to splurge on its stars;
which is probably why
Sajid Nadiadwala demanded a whopping Rs. 75 Crore
for
Salman Khan's
Kick!
Re-make of 2009's Telugu flick of the same name, Kick stars Salman and Sonakshi (Dabangg debutante) in a tale of romance, action, and a dash of comedy; which is slated to be released mid-next year.
However Nadiadwala has certainly added an edge of controversy to
the project after asking for Rs. 75 Crore from Eros International if
they wish to acquire the rights to the film. Whilst the company
previously backed both of Salman's latest releases, Veer and Dabangg, there seems to be a huge question mark on this project.
Sure Dabangg grossed more than 2009's top earner 3 Idiots,
and there's no doubt that Salman's star power is on the rise - but can
we forget the huge losses Eros International faced when Veer failed to cover it's budget?
Sajid sure is banking on the instant success Eid release
Dabangg has seen, to fetch him some exorbitant bucks.
Should Eros comply?!
