Amrita Rao is considered to be one of the most scintillating beauties of contemporary cinema and how can such a beauty afford to go unrecognized? It was during the shooting of her Telugu film ‘Athidhi’ in Hyderabad that Amrita wanted to go to the ‘Char Minaar’ and also shop in the famous ‘Choori’ Bazaar. Thinking that no body will know her if she wore huge sun glasses and tied her hair back in a pony, Amrita went to Char Minar with some friends. But as soon <a href=Amrita Rao" src="http://www.india-forums.com/bollywood/images/uploads/amrita_rao_big.jpg" align="right" border="" hspace="5" vspace="5">as she got off the car, people recoginesd her and started mobbing her. She had to return without getting a chance to buy anything.

That is when somebody came up with the idea of using a ‘burkha’ and Amrita went out once again. "I had such a great time. I climbed up on ‘Char Minar’, rubbed shoulders with everybody in the crowd, went to the ‘Choori Bazaar’ and really shopped for so many bangles. They have lovely bangles and they are so different. I even went to shop for stone studded jewellery. It was fun talking to people without getting recognised and being myself again," laughs Amrita, who has done a romantic role opposite Mahesh Babu in Telugu film ‘Athidhi’. This film has done record breaking business in Andhra Pradesh and broken all previous records and has gone on to establish her as the number one heroine in Telugu cinema. In ‘Athidhi’, her look is very different and sensuous, unlike her regular roles that she has done in Hindi films till now.

But that doesn’t mean that she is missing from Bollywood. Amrita has got plum projects and excellent films in hand. She has ‘Short Cut’, which is Anil Kapoor's home production with Akshay Khanna and Arshad Warsi, another film is with Shyam Benegal and in January her E Niwas directed 'My name is Anthony Gonsalvis' is scheduled for release. So Amrita has her hands full for now. As for M.F Hussein, we bet one look at his latest muse’s burkha avatar would give him some solid inspiration for his new portrayals. (SAMPURN)
