Mita Vasisht has played the role of a lawyer so many times on
screen, like in "Ghulam" and "Phir Milenge", that she is almost stuck
with the reel profession. She is seen clad in the black coat in the
tele series "Bombay Lawyers" as well. But her next movie is definitely
going to break this monotony. Mita will be seen with a stethoscope in
hand and in a doctor's coat in the forthcoming "Anubhav – An Actor's
Tale". The lead cast includes Sanjay Suri, Gul Panaag and Jackie
Shroff.
Mita holds on to her fetish for off-beat cinema in "Anubhav", which is a serious movie based on the theme of male prostitution. A source said: "It was not a 'Plain Jane' doctor that the script demanded. We needed somebody who could do justice to the shades of grey that the character has and a veteran actor like Mita was the safest bet."
Anubhav is being directed by Keralaite National Award-winning director Rajeev Nath and will be releasing this month. -(SAMPURN)
