There are few occasions which our Bollywood stars just have to attend,
specially religious events. As we celebrate various religious festivals
throughout the month of October, Kajol Devgn, who hails from a Bengali family
and is an ardent devotee of Durga Maa, was seen at various Durga Pujas
organized in Mumbai, which makes her the perfect person to be placed
under the scanner for this week's edition!
On the first and second day of the Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja,
Kajol decided to go the simple way with her choice of SVA
saris which kept her styling simple yet stylish. In the left, she is seen in a white printed
sari matched
beautifully with hot pink and yellow border and a sleeveless pink
blouse. A Durga Maa pendant and some golden bangles finish off her look.
On the right, she opted for a red see-through
sari with a simple pink lace and orange border, accessorized perfectly right with a single bracelet and a heavy green necklace.
In the last two appearances,
Kajol stepped beyond looking simplistic and
went for some conventional glamor. At a puja event held in Mumbai
(left), she sported an off-white sari contrasted with some beautiful
shades of pink, blue and green on the border and drapped around her in a
traditional style. She accessorized herself with gold necklace,
earrings and some bangles. On the last day of North Bombay Sarbojanin
Durga Puja, she let down her hair, literally, and was seen donning a
checked contemporary SVA
sari. The red
bindi on her forehead and the golden earrings brightened up her look beautifully.
Personally,
we think she looked beautiful in all four attires, but the last two
occasions showcased her beauty better. Be it the prints of the
saris or
the traditional drape, she was simply shining. They were also quite
clever examples of sporting the 'best of both worlds' look. If we have
to mention an improvement at all, we do feel she should've put more
effort into her hairdos. A simple, classic bun may be the most
comfortable in such heat but it did get a bit repetitive at three
different occasions.
