Karan Johar has always manages to take the crowd by surprise with his witty comments and revelations. This time again, the renowned filmmaker surprised everyone when he confessed that he has been the reason behind many couples ending their relationship.
KJo who made his debut in Bollywood with "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai", and went on to direct films like "Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham", "My Name is Khan", "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil", has given some amazing romantic films to Bollywood. However, he still feels that he is yet to make a movie he entirely loves and that he often cringes when he sees some portions of his work.
"In retrospect when I look back and see some parts of my movies I cringe and feel terrible that I actually subjected an audience to those portions. Some of them got fortunate, other parts in those films made them reach a certain success mark," Karan said.
"I'm not proud and happy with each and every one of them. I am yet to make a film that I entirely love," he added.
KJo was sharing his thought at the launch of his radio show "Calling Karan" season 2 on Ishq 104.8 FM where he gives love advice to callers but he says he never takes a cue to help people from his films.
"No, what we show in the movies is ridiculous. You can't possibly ruin people's lives by giving those situations. Those are meant for cinema halls but not for people," he said.
The director then went on to confess that he is so honest with his advice that often he has broken relationships.
"We have a disclaimer in the beginning that I'm not a professionally trained individual so my advice should be taken at that level. But I give extremely sincere advice and I've broken a few relationships" he added.
