Varun Dhawan defended Priyanka Chopra in Quantico controversy

Quantico has been creating lots of noise lately. With its plot revolving around terrorism it was already playing in a controversial territory. When one of its episodes aired last week, the entire media was outraged.

Indians were shown as terrorists and Priyanka Chopra had to bear the burns. Hundreds of people expressed their disappointment in Priyanka and said that she could have convinced the show makers not to show Indians in such a bad light.

ABC studios stepped right up to apologize to the angry fans and said that Priyanka had nothing to do with the story. In fact, Priyanka also apologized to the furious fans.

Now, in a recent press conference at IIFA 2018, Varun Dhawan was asked about his views on the same. And he said,"Priyanka Chopra made our entire country very proud. There is nothing else."

Ayushmann Khurrana who was also present at the press conference said,"Aap jab kuch kirdar play karte ho, aapki apni soch hoti hai, aap ek kirdar play kar rahe hai, director ko follow kar rahe hai, script ko follow kar rahe, Woh aapki pehli responsibility hai. Aap koi bhi side le le uska backlash apko milega hi milega".
