Talking about the Blackbuck case, the case has been going on since the shoot of Sooraj Barjatya's "Hum Saath Saath Hain" starring Salman Khan, Sonali Bendre, Saif Ali Khan, Mohnish Behl, Tabu, Neelam Kothari and many more. Salman and the others are accused of hunting and killing two blackbucks in 1998 in Rajasthan's Kankani while the actors were the state for a film shoot. Blackbucks are endangered species and hunting them is prohibited under the Wildlife Protection Act.
While Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Tabu and Sonali Bendre are involved in the case. However, these actors have already arrived for the final verdict at the Jodhpur Court today in a two-decade-old blackbuck poaching case, the on-ground reports suggest that the Salman has been convicted for the punishment whereas, Saif, Tabu and Sonali Bendre have been acquitted from the case.
While Salman recently wrapped the shoot of Remo D'Souza's "Race 3" when a leading TV channel asked the director about what he thinks about the controversy, he said, "Salman never talks about the case while shooting for his films. Same was the case during Abu Dhabi schedule of Race 3, after which the actor left for the verdict. The unit and everyone associated with his big Eid release are hoping for a closure to this long stretched case with a favourable verdict."
Meanwhile, sources and reports suggest that the actor has been convicted for 1-2 years of jail but, there has been no official statement from the lawyers and the court as yet.
