Abhishek-Parineeti roped in for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Gustakhiyan?

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming film, Gustakhiyan which is a biopic on poet Sudhir Ludhianvi and his romantic equation with poetess Amrita Pritam is having various alterations with its cast. Initially, Priyanka Chopra and Irrfan Khan were rumoured to be cast in the film but later the duo opted out of the film.

Reports of Abhishek being the reason behind Priyanka's withdrawal were also doing rounds as previously, Abhishek refused to work with Priyanka as she replaced Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the film Bluffmaster.

The latest development reveals that director Jasmeet Reen was keen on Abhishek portraying the role of Sudhir Ludhianvi. Abhishek has also started preparing for the role, says an insider.

It was Sanjay Leela Bhansali who found his leading lady in Parineeti Chopra to play Amrita Pritam. A source reveals to a daily, "If Parineeti commits to Gustakhiyan, this film will mark the first outing of Abhishek and Parineeti as a couple. Bhansali is keen to cast her since the role is a defining one. He felt she has the grace and sensitivity to play a poetess. The script has appealed to Parineeti, who is accommodating the dates for the project".

Parineeti is currently gearing up for the promotions of her upcoming film, Golmaal Again and Abhishek has few films lined for the year 2018.
