As reported earlier,
Ranbir Kapoor will be playing
Sanjay Dutt's character in his upcoming biopic that's based on the latter's life.
During a recent house party that was hosted by Sanjay, Ranbir too was invited to be a part and get accoustmed to Baba's lifestyle. But, even after being the guest, RK had to hear some bitter words for his choice of films and much more!
It so happened, that Sanju was in high spirits and in an inebriated state he told Ranbir that he would like to produce a film and would want him to play the lead actor in it. Overwhelmed by the proposal, he immediately replied "of course" and joined the conversation.
However, it wasn't too late when things turned sour after Sanju said that the name of the film will be "Laddoo". Confused by the response, Ranbir asked Baba about the logic behind this name. To this Sanjay retorted: "Yes, after that we will make films called Imarti, Jalebi and then Peda."
However, after a lengthy awkward silence, Sanjay said what he had been meaning to say all this while-
He watched 'Barfi!' and didn't like it. "I watched Barfi! on TV recently. What made you do a film like that? @#$^&* bloody hell, you are playing me in the Sanjay Dutt biopic. I don't know how they cast you," reportedly said Dutt.
He continued to lecture Ranbir adding: "You should be a macho man. Act in macho films. You can't be doing films like Barfi!. You should be holding guns and doing action films. Do you think actors like me, Salman and Ajay would have been around for so many years, if we had not played macho characters on screen? You have no connect with the masses and that is very important."
All this while Ranbir maintained silence and listened to Sanjay with due respect and attention. Things got back to normal only after Manaayata came into the room.
We wonder if Ranbir took offence or took it as an advice.
