Salman Khan and his director-friend
Sooraj Barjatya reunited 16 years after 'Hum Saath-Saath Hai,' for the Diwali dhamaka, '
Prem Ratan Dhan Payo,' which featured the actor in a double role. Even though it was a family drama set in a fairy-tale kingdom with a desi romance woven in, the film surprised audiences with its action sequences filmed on winding ghats and inside a sheesh mahal. In an interview to a leading tabloid, Salman had admitted that the audience would wonder if the naughty dialogues and stunts are really a part of a Barjatya film.
Now, according to latest reports in the tabloid, Sallu wants to collaborate with his favourite director and wants it to be bigger, better and bolder than any of their Prem kahaanis! "They have discussed an action drama and though Salman will once again play Prem, the film will not be about love. Salman and Sooraj will co-produce the film," reveals a source close to the development. [sic]
The two have been meeting at night, after Salman wraps up shooting for his upcoming wrestling drama,
Sultan and are working on the plot of the film together. "Immediately after wrapping up his next, Salman will roll with this production, sometime in October. A three-month shooting schedule is being planned," adds the source. [sic]
Meanwhile, Salman has now decided to reduce the budgets of his films to escalate their boxoffice returns. 'PRDP' was shot over 200 days. This time, they will have a tighter schedule. "Both agree that it is best for Salman to shed his romantic image. That's the reason he wants to play Prem as an action hero next," the source signs off. [sic]
Currently, Salman is working on
Sultan and his dates are locked up for the year, so if the Barjatyas finalize a script, the project will start next year.
