Actors who went out of their comfort zone in 2015

Actors who retreat to their comfort zones are really cheating themselves of their most valuable asset: themselves. Being comfortable in acting is actually working against the flow of the craft. When you are comfortable with no challenge, there are no sparks of passion, there is no vulnerability and there is no desire on the part of the audience to watch. Not every actor is successful in their attempts to break out of the box; some people are better left playing to their strengths as opposed to trying to find new ones. But others are able to reach new heights, adding variety to their careers and delighting audiences with their unexpected abilities. Here are four actors who got out of their comfort zone this year 2015.

Salman Khan - Bajrangi Bhaijaan

The superstar has played a charming, irreverent superhero. Though it was difficult for him to play the character after Dabangg; he still wanted to do it. There is action and everything but it is also a simple and all-heart film. Salman's character is close to how he lives his own life in principle. When you portray on the big screen what you do off screen, then it is bound to affect and connect with the audience this is exactly what happened and it had a great run at the box office.

Irrfan Khan - Piku

The actor par excellence who has raised acting bars with each of his role has done it again this year. This year we got to see his most subtle and romantic side with Piku.

It is an absolute honour for Irrfan Khan as the film has won hearts all over. As his character Rana is definitely indebted to the audience. This is another important character role that Irrfan is overwhelmed that it received a response like this.

Kangana Ranaut - Tanu Weds Manu returns

Tanu weds Manu returns was the best film for Kangana as she got to experiment by getting out of her comfort zone by playing two characters. Initially, she had huge difficulty in maintaining both the characters because Kusum was adorable and a lovely girl and there is purity in her, while Tanu has wildness but she is selfishThis film has kind of made her the Female Khan of Bollywood.

Varun Dhavan - Badlapur

As per sources, Varun always wanted to do a thriller but no one thought that he could ever pull it off. Badlapur has offered him the chance to experiment with the genre which he enjoys watching. Director Sriram Raghavan is a genius who keeps looking to push the envelope and do something new. Badlapur was a gamble that has beautifully paid off for Varun Dhawan.
