With the advent of the New Year, Bollywood is all ready to display its palate for 2015. The 1st month of the year would see, some of the most awaited films rolling out. Bollywood has their hands full in the 1st month itself, with films of the young generation, new comers, first time producers, etc. India-forums, gives you a sneak peek as to what to expect from Bollywood in Jan. 2015.
The 1st big release of the year 2015 is Eros
International and Sanjay Kapoor Entertainment's Tevar, starring Arjun Kapoor,
Sonakshi Sinha and Manoj Bajpayee. Remake of a 2013 Telegu Blockbuster Okkadu,
Tevar is a story Gajender Singh (Manoj Bajpayee), a local goon who wants to
marry Radhika (Sonakshi Sinha), against her wishes. Later, how Pintu (Arjun
Kapoor) rescues Radhika and eventually fall in love forms the crux of the
story. The movie looks to be yet another mass entertainer, but the trailer
suggests a done to death story line, but one would have to wait and watch. The
year is surely starting with a bang! Tevar released on the January 9th.
Next in the line is Panaroma Studios' Alone. Slated to
release on January 16th, it has Bipasha Basu and the handsome hunk
of Television Karan Singh Grover as the main leads. Alone is story about
conjoined twins, Sanjana and Anjana, who love the same man, Kabir. One of them
passes away and returns back from the dead. The trailer impressive and puts
across the horror element quite well. It also marks Bipasha Basu playing the
ghost for the 1st time, and Karan Singh Grover's debut in Bollywood.
Other releases on January 16th are Crazy Cukkad Family and Sharafat Gayi Tel Lene, which may not garner a lot of attention owing to Karan Singh Grover's massive popularity.
Bhushan Kumar's BABY, is the next in row. The trailer shows
a power packed movie, with a lot action to it. When Akshay Kumar, Anupam Kher,
Danny Denzongpa and Kay Kay Menon come together on screen, sheer brilliance is
exhibited, especially when ace director Neeraj Pandey dons the director's hat.
The movie revolves around the issue of terrorism and the fight for Kashmir
between two nations.
Releasing on the 23rd again is Arbaaz Khan's
Dolly Ki Doli. Starring Sonam Kapoor, Pulkit Samrat, Rajkummar Rao and Varun
Sharma, Dolly Ki Doli is a fun film about a con bride on the run. Rajkummar Rao
and Varun Sharma play the victims of the con, whereas Pulkit Samrat plays the
cop. The trailer looks interesting and a complete opposite of the other film
releasing on the same date.
Ayushmann Khurrana's Hawaizaada is one of the last releases
of January 2014, which is a story about Shivkar Talpade, who allegedly flew the
1st plane 8 years before the Wright Brother. Set in the era of the
1800s, the film has a fresh appeal and having Ayushmann play such a different
character would be definitely interesting to watch. Hawaizaada flies in to
theatres on the 30th of January.
Khamoshiyan-Movie-poster.jpg" alt="" align="right" width="500" border="1" vspace="5" hspace="5" />Khamoshiyan marks the debut of yet another handsome hunk of
the television industry, Gurmeet Chowdhary. It is being promoted as an erotic thriller;
let's hope it does justice to the same. This film also stars Ali Fazal and Sapna Pabbi. This too releases on the 30th
of January.
Kay Kay Menon and Tisca Chopra starrer Rahasya too releases on the same date, but may not share a lot limelight, being a little unconventional.
So there you go, you have quite some stuffs to look forward to this month! Keep reading this space for more such updates.
