Filmmaker Anurag Basu, who last helmed Ranbir Kapoor starrer Jagga Jasoos, has been grabbing attention lately for his forthcoming film, which was said to be a sequel to Life...in a Metro. Although he denied that his next is a sequel to his 2007 critically-acclaimed film, it will certainly have four different stories, much like Life...in a Metro.
What's more? The yet-untitled film has an ensemble cast including Rajkummar Rao, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Aditya Roy Kapur and Abhishek Bachchan. In fact, there was a buzz that Taapsee Pannu was expected to star opposite Aditya in the film. However, we now hear that the Manmarziyan actress might not be a part of this project, as reported by DNA.
The daily further added that despite Anurag keen on locking Taapsee, the actress has opted out of the film as she begins work on her next Hindi movie Womaniya next month and is in the midst of a gruelling prep for it. Apparently, Anurag couldn't give her clarity about the dates needed from her for his project and hence, the actress had no choice apart from turning it down.
Well, it would be interesting to see which actress fills her shoes in the flick now.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Taapsee has an interesting lineup of films ahead. Apart from joining hands again with Anurag Kashyap for Bhumi Pednekar starrer Womaniya, she will also reunite on the silver screen with her Pink co-star Amitabh Bachchan for Badla.
