Bollywood Embraces Autumn Fashion

The northern hemisphere is fast approaching it's winter months but before the biting cold winds engulfs us, fall can be a pleasant transition from the scorching heat when we bundle up just a little to enjoy some mildness between two extremes. Bollywood also often sees actors wearing such clothes in their movies when they are shooting in different climates. BollyCurry brings to you a list of those few movies where celebs can be seen wearing jackets, cardigans, scarves and other autumn clothes on-screen this year.

Imran Khan's rustic look throughout Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola has a dominating presence of clothing items such as dark mufflers and light jackets, which match his rugged Haryanvi character. Surely he didn't have much trouble dressing up like that during promotion of the film either, considering it released in January!

Amidst a cat-and-mouse chase between areal CBI and fake CBI in the acclaimed hit Special 26, Anupam Kher was occasionally seen sporting a muffler, fall jacket or a sleeveless sweater, particularly in the initial section of the film. We're guessing it's probably because the film is set in the month of March where the winters are slowly receding. It does make one wonder why he was the only one though!

A trademark look of Aditya Roy Kapoor in the box-office success romantic musical Aashiqui 2, was the various jackets he sported as a successful musician whose career and life was affected by his alcohol addiction. In fact, his famous leather jacket was also seen as a prop where the character romances Shraddha Kapoor's character in the rain whilst wrapped up in his jacket.

The entire first half of this successful romantic comedy follows a group of friends on hiking trip up North. So the jackets, mufflers and sweaters sported by the cast on-screen is automatically explained. It was a nice to see many variations of the fall wear, even if weather seems more suited for winter attires where the characters often frolicked about in the snow.
