Movie Review C Kkompany:A Rollercoaster Ride & Merry Go Round Together
Lately there has been a trend of absurd comedies in the Bollywood Industry but 'C Kkompany' makes an attempt to break out of that path. Don't expect any intelligence but the road has less potholes than usual.
C Kkompany is the story of three friends – Akshay Kumar, Mr.Joshi and Lambodar. Though belonging to different age groups, all three share a great friendship. Whether its their problems or facing the harsh realities of life, the three friends face them together! Akshay Kumar is a crime reporter while Mr.Joshi is a retired accountant and Lambodar is a ridiculed husband and father due to his height. Tired of the problems in their life, the three friend one day decide to play a harmless prank. However, their prank turns into headline news and goes much unlike the way it had been planned.
Later on all this lead to another sets of events that makes them famous throughout the nation. And the ridiculous thing is that no one knows about their real identity and thus they become mute spectators of their newly earned fame. From zeros they end up being heroes of the entire nation. Thus, a harmless prank helps them out to raise their rank.
C Kkompany’ is a fun filled entertainer but the problem is it lacks consistency. The comedy is truly hilarious at places, but there are times when you don’t even budge . If the first hour is a roller coaster, the second hour is a merry-go-round. The climax is also a let down.
Director Sachin Yardi has done a fair job with humor for first half of the film but the second half turns out to be repetitive with humor ranging from less to nil.
The three protagonists are the actual spice of the film. Tusshar's performance seems to be improving day by day while Anupam Kher proves his best and Rajpal Yadav like always has done a great job. Mithun Chakraborty too has done a superb job while Vinay Apte and Dilip Prabhavalkar do complete justice to their respective roles. Raima Sen is efficient. Special appearances played by Karan Johar, Mahesh Bhatt and Ekta Kapoor brings extra glory to the film
Overall, ‘C Kkompany’ is an average range of comic film. It may not be able to sustain though at the box office with the immense competition of films this weekend!
