Another week and another take at the some of the hottest charts in B-Town at the moment!
10. Ranjha Ranjha
Film: Raavan
Singer(s): Rekha Bhardwaj, Javed Ali, Anuradha Sriram Music: A R Rahman
Truthfully, we really should let this track go! But we'll settle for just knocking it back a few paces as it's folksy tune and energetic lyrics still manage to keep us spellbound!
9. Munni Badnaam
Film: Dabangg
Singer(s): Mamta Sharma, Aishwarya
Music: Lalit Pandit
Whilst this pales in comparison to Tere Mast Mast Do Nain, Munni Badnaam still grabs a spot in our charts for it's foot tapping rythm. This may or may not be a chartbuster, but we'll enjoy it while we can!
8. Lafangey Parindey
Film: Lafangey Parindey
Singer(s): Ronit Sarkar
Music: R. Anandh
This track seems to be like marmite for many listeners. You either love it or hate it and at Bollycurry, we're definitely in the love camp at the moment! Some interesting use of soft rock and a lot of masti if that's what you look for in a song!
7. Sajde
Film: Khatta Meetha
Singer(s): KK, Sunidhi Chauhan
Music: Pritam
"Sajde" from the film "Khatta Meetha" is very fresh and has beautiful lyrics. KK and Sunidhi's duo creates magic. Pritam's composition is excellent.
6. Aila Re Aila
Film: Khatta Meetha
Singer(s): Daler Mehndi, Kalpana Patowary
Music: Pritam
With its catchy background score, this one is becoming an anthem song for the youth. Some unusual lyrics and likeable background music, this one manages to hold on at No 6.
5. Suno Aisha
Film: Aisha
Singer(s): Amit Trivedi, Ash King
Music: Amit Trivedi
Suno Aisha once agains manages to cling onto its position at No 5. Entertainingly catchy lyrics and a beautiful background score makes this chic song worth listening too! Amit Trivedi has yet again proved himself to be genius with such an amazing soundtrack.
4. Madno
Film: Lamhaa
Singer(s): Chinmaye, Kshitij Tarey
Music: Mithoon
The song has very soothing tune in the background and the lyrics are an absolute treat. This track will truly leave you in a daze!
3. Gal Mitthi Mitthi Bol
Film: Aisha
Singer(s): Tochi
Music: Amit Trivedi
It's a step forward for Gal Mitthi Mitthi Bol this week. The song seems to give a new flavour to chartbusting wedding songs and is a complete Punjabi package with some amazing lyrics. Definitely not one to be missed!
2. Pee Loon
Film: Once upon a time in Mumbai
Singer(s): Mohit Chauhan
Music: Pritam Prachi and Emraan, who would have thought? The understated lyrics of this track and wonderful sufi feel promise to stay on with the listener long after the music stops playing. Without a doubt the Mohit - Pritam combination succeeds yet again!
1. Tere Mast Mast Do Nain
Film: Dabangg
Singer(s): Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Shreya Ghoshal
Music: Sajid-Wajid
Everything takes a step back this week to make way for a new entry - the surprisingly addictive Tere Mast Mast Do Nain! Reminscient of the soothing music not often seen in this era; it would be a crime if this doesn't make an entry on many a-I-pods soon!
