Make a statement with hand-woven saris

New Delhi, June 22 (IANS) Drape yourself in elegant saris embellished with varied embroideries, vibrant threadwork and motifs this festive season, and choose from a variety of traditional hand-woven chanderi, kora and zari-kotah saris by ethnic clothing brand Raisons.

The saris are finely hand-woven using kora cotton and 'barfi' motifs inspired from the various geometrical designs.

You can also opt for elegant zari-kotah saris in varied flourescent colours, embellished with golden threadwork. Artisans have created the exclusive designs using various weaving techniques like buti, buta, jaal and brocades.

"We have adapted traditional designs to make them simple, sophisticated and distinctly contemporary and thereby creating a fresh new aesthetic that is both indigenous and modern," said Gaurav Rai, designer and promoter.

"These saris and fabrics are much coveted items that are a must in the treasure trove of every Indian woman," he added.

The price range starts from Rs.12,000 onwards.
