Music, is a colorful and common thread which knows no barriers and is woven into the entire fabric of our lives! Commemorating the long over due gesture to the music industry, Star Plus exclusively presents Tata Indicom Radio Mirchi Music awards on Sunday, April 12th 2009 @ 9 :30 pm. A musical night honoring excellence in Hindi film music and felicitating deserving artists in music industry, will surely keep you wanting for more.

Hosted by the versatile Shaan and gorgeous Tulip Joshi, Tata Indicom Radio Mirchi Music awards will pay tribute to music over the decades and by acknowledging different genres in music. Eminent personalities from the film and music fraternity will walk the red carpet to witness the grand celebration of music industry where the talent across 17 categories will be honored for popular and technical genre for the year 2008.

The musical evening will also witness some outstanding performances by the effervescent Genelia D'Souza, the hot and sultry Bipasha Basu and heartthrob Shahid Kapoor! Bipasha Basu will enlive the night with her sizzling moves of retro hits and the kool Shahid Kapoor will add to the entertainment quotient by performing for the first time on non Shahid songs!

That's not all! Popular singers like Kunal Ganjawala, Neeraj Shridhar, Tulsi Kumar and Shreya Ghoshal will also enthrall the audiences with their mellifluous voices rendering some of the best songs of the year. The show stopper of the evening and looking dashing and handsome as ever Abhishek Bachchan will soar the temperature with his presence on stage to give away the two most important awards of the evening – Song of the Year and Album of the Year!

Adding to the excitement and getting the audiences into peels of laughter would be mirchidaar moments with Shaan. The stage is all set for a memorable moment in the history of Indian Music Awards.
