Upcoming Movies: June Preview

The Bollywood industry kicked off the year 2016 with a bang as numerous movies hit the screens to entertain viewers, and critics alike. As we gear up for mid-year, Bollywood has some grand movies lined up for us. June makes sure that not only the storylines, but the actors also capture your attention. Listed below are some of the movies, all hopeful blockbusters, which will grace the silver screen soon.

Housefull 3

The first week of June marks the release of Sajid Nadiadwala's third part of the Housefull series. The movie features Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan and Riteish Deshmukh in the lead, with Jacqueline Fernandes, Nargis Fakhri, and Lisa Haydon in support. Even though Kumar and Deshmukh have been in the last two films of the franchise, it will be Bachchan's first time to star with this team. The story focuses on a father (played by Boman Irani) who does not want his three daughters to get married. It is therefore up to the three men to try and convince the father otherwise. The previous instalments of the series definitely tickled the funny bone; and after the massive hits received by the trailer, expectations have surely risen from the upcoming movie. It hits the silver screens on the 3rd June so don't forget to book yourself a seat at the nearest cineplex!

Te3n

Ribhu Dasgupta's Te3n is all set to release on 10th June. With phenomenal star cast such as Amitabh Bachchan, Vidya Balan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, viewers are beyond excited for this movie. Shot in streets of Kolkata, this upcoming thriller movie is said to be an adaption of the Korean movie, Montage. The story focuses on John Biswas (Amitabh Bachchan), a grandfather in search of justice for his granddaughter for eight long years. Nawazuddin Siddiqui plays the role of Father Martin Das, whose life changed owing to same crime that claimed the life of John's granddaughter. Vidya Balan plays a cop namely Sarita Sarkar who swings into action when an identical crime is repeated eight years later. Don't forget to tune into the amazing trailer, and most definitely keep a watch out for the movie!

Udta Punjab

Udta Punjab is a crime-thriller film, under Abhishek Kapoor's directorial. It stars Shahid Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Diljit Dosanjh in pivotal roles. The film is based on drug abuse problem that has affected the youth of Punjab. The plot deals with drug trafficking and substance abuse among youngsters. Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt play the role of a young couple, Gabroo and Bihari Nanda respectively, whereas Kareena Kapoor Khan plays Dr. Shivani, who aids drug-addicted youngsters and supports the police in finding drug traffickers. The acclaimed Punjabi actor, Diljit Dosanjh plays a tough cop in the film who is on mission to nab the drug trafficking group. Does drug trafficking finally come to an end in Punjab? This question will be answered on 17th June.

Raman Raghav 2.0

The movie is all set to release on 24th June. Directed by Anurag Kashyap, Raman Raghav 2.0 has stellar cast inclusive of Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Vicky Kaushal and Vipin Sharma. The movie is based on the notorious serial killer, Raman Raghav from Mumbai during mid 1960's. Nawazuddin Siddiqui plays the title character. The film depicts the story of Ramanna, who is inspired from serial killer Raman Raghav. He also has an obsession with Raghavan, a young cop. This obsession not only leads him to stalking Raghavan but also create situations where they both come face to face. The trailer that released recently has managed to raise the bar and strong story lovers should definitely try this one out!

Junooniyat

Pulkit Samrat and Yami Gautam are back together yet again after their last romantic flick, Sanam Re. Directed by Vivek Agnihotri, Junooniyat is a passionate and romantic flick set against the backdrop of the Indian army. Samrat will be seen as an army officer and Gautam will essay his love interest. Not much is known about the movie, but the pairing definitely raises an interest. If you enjoyed their cute chemistry in the previous film, don't miss your chance to catch this one on the 24th June.
