Happy Birthday Katrina Kaif!

Today, BollyCurry gathers to celebrate the birthday of one of the most beautiful actresses in Bollywood, Katrina Kaif.

Born as Katrina Turquotte on the 16^th of July, 1983, Kaif is of a mixed ancestry. Her mother is British, while her father was a Kashmiri. Her parents separated when she was very young, and as a result, Kaif and her siblings accompanied their mother on her extensive travels, given her occupation as a social worker.

Kaif began modelling at the age of 14, and was soon a regular in the London fashion circuit. It was here that she was spotted by Kaizad Gustad, who offered to cast her in his erotic-heist movie Boom (2003). Despite starring renowned actors such as Amitabh Bachchan, the movie tanked miserably at the box office. However, the film gave Kaif an entry into the Indian film industry, and she soon began to receive offers for other films.

After a successful Telugu debut with the hit film Malliswari (2004), Kaif went on to appear in Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya (2005), opposite then alleged beau Salman Khan, Sohail Khan, and Sushmita Sen. With this film, which was a commercial success, Kaif finally found a strong footing in Bollywood and made a name for herself. There was no looking back for the gorgeous actress and she went on to star in a string of commercially successful films, including Namastey London (2007), Partner (2007), Singh is Kinng (2008), New York (2009), Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani (2009), Rajneeti (2010), Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (2011), Jab Tak Hai Jaan (2012), Dhoom 3 (2013), and Bang Bang (2014).

At the beginning of her career, Kaif was rumored to be in a relationship with the superstar Salman Khan, who she claims, has had an unprecedented influence in her life and career. The two parted ways amicably after a few years of courtship, but Kaif is still very close to Khan and his family. Khan and Kaif even went on to costar in a blockbuster film, Ek Tha Tiger (2012), where their chemistry was well appreciated by one and all. Currently, Kaif is said to be dating the national heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor. The two met during the shoot of their film Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani (2009), and have supposedly been together ever since. While neither of them have officially confirmed their relationship status, the duo have often been spotted at public gatherings together, and it is a known fact that they're currently co-residing. Recent tabloid reports had suggested that Kapoor was to marry Kaif in 2016, but the two went on record to debunk the statements.
