Happy Birthday Kangana Ranaut!

Today not only marks the 82^nd day of 2015, but it also happens to be the birthday of one of Bollywood's most endowed actresses, Kangana Ranaut!

Ranaut was born on March 23^rd to Asha and Amardeep Ranaut, in a small town by the name of Bhambla situated in Himachal Pradesh. She has two siblings; an elder sister, Rangoli and a younger brother, Akshat. The National Award-winning actress was very studious as a child and was considering pursuing a career in medicine. At the age of sixteen, Ranaut moved to Delhi when she realized she didn't want to become a doctor. After experimenting with theatre and modeling, she decided to move to Mumbai to take up a career in acting.

 

2006 marked her debut with Gangster - A Love Story co-starring Emraan Hashmi and Shiney Ahuja. The movie was a commercial success and the critics applauded Ranaut for her outstanding portrayal of Simran. After doing numerous dark films such as Woh Lamhe (2006), Life In A Metro (2007), Fashion (2008), Raaz: The Mystery Continues (2009) and Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai (2010), Ranaut featured in a comic film Tanu Weds Manu (2011) co-starring R. Madhvan and was appreciated immensely. The vivid actress is also known for her recent stints in Krrish 3 (2013) and Queen (2014), which accelerated her career graph considerably. 

Ranaut has two scheduled 2015 releases, Nikhil Advani's Katti Batti and Anand L. Rai's Tanu Weds Manu Returns.
