Splash-a-Colour!

It has often been said that colours possess deep rooted meanings and that every individual has a dominant colour that truly matches their personality. On the occasion of Holi, a day dedicated to the bright aura of colours, BollyCurry gets together to splash some of our B-Town celebs with our choice of colour!

 

First up is we have the evergreen beauty that is Rekha. The veteran actress has always awed us with her eternally gracious allure that seems to grow in more poised and polished. with time. For this reason, we've decided that green is the perfect colour to splash Rekha with. Green is an eternal colour that is all around us in every form of weather and therefore matches Rekha perfectly. After all, it doesn't matter what the season or the weather, her grace will shine always.

 

From the evergreen green to a calm serene blue, we've decided that this colour is perfect for the amiable and stellar actor that is Irrfan Khan. How many times have you witnessed Khan stage a public spat with someone? Like us, probably never. Therefore, synonymous like the colour blue, Khan is tranquil and calm. The talented actor, in our opinion, is also grossly overlooked even though his participation to movies extends from Bollywood to Hollywood, therefore making him more like the colour blue again; he is everywhere yet almost goes unnoticed.

 

When thinking of Sonam Kapoor, bright, positive and bubbly immediately comes to mind. To match her standout personality, we have decided to splash her with the vibrant colour of yellow. Yellow is the colour of the sun and is continously inducing happy thoughts; no matter what the weather throws at us, you can expect the sun to keep shining. The same qualities can be seen in Kapoor, you can always expect to see her at her bubbly best.

 

Deepika Padukone is known for her creative roles and empowering stand. For her we've chosen orange. She's not red, she's not yellow, she's a mix of both, which makes it creative concoction. It is also the colour of empowerment. Who better to splash with this colour then Padukone? Her choice of roles are quite creative giving us a chance to see her in various avatars and at the same time she's just not acting, she's also standing up for people and their rights!

 

Now brown is one colour you probably will never have in your Holi palette. But we've decided that it's a must have this time around because often after you mix all the colours, you end up with brown. We're going to splash this colour on the calm and grounded Emraan Hashmi. Hashmi is probably one of the most down-to-earth personalities you may ever meet. Even after achieving much success in the industry, his feet are firmly planted on the ground and with each new movie, he tries to reach new heights. Thus for this calm personality, we bring an earthly colour for the first time into our Holi celebrations.

 

No Holi is ever complete without a little bit of red. In fact, red is one of the major highlights of every Holi celebration. Red is considered to be the colour of energy, strength, determination and vivacity. There are so many actors that fall under this category but today we choose to splash Ranbir Kapoor with this hot colour. The young Kapoor lad has an energetic vibe that rubs off on everyone, no matter how bad their day is going, and his determination to pull away from his parents' images and create his own has made him the heartthrob of a large population. So pull out the red colour and splash it all over this handsome man!

 

We bring our Holi celebrations to a close with the lush yet mysterious purple. Purple is a colour of royalty. But it is also the colour of mystery. You'll often find that people whose dominant colour is purple are hard to understand. That's why we're going to take this moment and splash this colour over Vidya Balan. Her career graph is unmatched in creativity and yet she is as mysterious as that latest mystery book you may have picked up at a bookstore. Thus what better colour for her than purple?
