Happy Birthday John Abraham and Riteish Deshmukh!

Today, 17th December, marks the birthday of two charming and easy-going actors of Bollywood. Any guesses? Yes, today John Abraham and Riteish Deshmukh celebrate their birthdays! BollyCurry, along with fans, wishes these actors a very Happy Birthday.

John Abraham was born on 17th December 1972 to a Parsi mother and Syrian Malabar Nasrani father. He has a younger brother and a sister. He went to Jai Hind College for his undergraduate in economics and did his postgraduate in Calicut University, Kerala. He is married to Priya Runchal, a financial analyst and investment banker from USA.

Abraham started his career as a model in punjabi singer Jazzy B's popular music video "Surma" (2000). Subsequently, he appeared in various music videos for singers like Pankaj Udhas, Hans Raj Hans, and Babul Supriyo. This lead to his discovery and Bollywood debut with the movie Jism in 2003, which was a commercial success. His next success was the highly popular Dhoom (2004), in which he essayed the role of a bike thief. He was nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Performance in a Negative Role and won the IIFA Best Villain Award. He continued to face much success in comic movies such as Garam Masala (2005), Dostana (2008), and Housefull 2 (2012). He was also much appreciated for his negative shades in New York (2009) and Race 2 (2013). He has also donned the producer hat for movies Vicky Donor (2012) and Madras Cafe (2013), both of which garnered critical and commercial acclaim.

Abraham is currently shooting for Welcome Back and Rocky Handsome, both of which are expected to release in 2015. He is also going to be part of Dostana 2, supposedly slated to release in 2015. He is also producing Satra Ko Shaadi Hai, Agra Ka Daabra, Rocky Handsome, and 1911: Dream Come True.

On the other hand, we have Maharashtrian boy Riteish Deshmukh who was born in Mumbai to ex-minister Vilasrao Deshmukh. Little is known about his childhood; however, he studied at Kamla Raheja Vidyanidhi Institute for Architecture and Environmental Studies and was an architect in an overseas architectural firm for a year before returning to India. He has continued working as an architect despite being a successful actor and even has ownership in Evolutions, an India-based architectural and interior designing firm. He is happily married to Genelia D'Souza and the couple recently had their first child, a son.

Deshmukh debuted in the movie Tujhe Meri Karam with Genelia D'Souza in 2003. However, it wasn't until Masti (2004) that he gained fame and was also nominated for the IIFA Award for Best Performance in a Comic Role. He has been quite successful in comedy movies and received much praise for his roles in movies like Kya Kool Hai Hum (2005), Heyy Babyy (2007), Dhamaal (2007), Housefull (2010), Double Dhamaal (2011), Housefull 2 (2012), Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum (2012), and Grand Masti (2013). He has won the IIFA Awards for Best Performance in a Comic Role for Housefull and Double Dhamaal. It was the role of a psychopathic killer, Rakesh Mahadkar, in Ek Villain (2014) that broke his image of a comic actor. He also produced a movie, Yellow (2014), which earned him a Special Jury Award at the National Awards.

Deshmukh currently has Bangistan, Bank Chor, Mastizaade, Housefull 3, and Dostana 2 in his kitty. All are expected to release in 2015.
