2014 Flashback: Rumor has it - Gossip Roundup!

During this joyous holiday time of the year, BollyCurry looks back and reflects on some of the juiciest gossips churned out by creative media personnel. Some rumors left us happy, some sad and some, in typical Bollywood fashion, left us utterly confused, and yet others ended up being more entertaining than even the movies. Without further ado, here is a roundup of this year's biggest rumors and scandalous gossip.

The Roshan divorce was arguably the most shocking break-up in recent times and though it has now been over a year since the news first broke, media houses are still desperate to make the most of it. The speculations surrounding the reason behind this divorce remained focused on a much married "other man". Though all parties involved strongly denied all rumors, the story refuses to die down with the reports of this "other man's" marriage crumbling.

Salman Khan - Katrina KAPOOR?

Arpita Khan's wedding event had all eyes on it with everyone speculating about the invitees and about those who were conspicuously absent. Salman Khan's rumored girlfriend Lulia Vantur attended the ceremony while there were reports of his ex Sangeeta Bijlani being miffed about being excluded. Surprisingly, Katrina Kaif was invited whereas her rumored beau Ranbir Kapoor was given a miss. During the sangeet, Salman reportedly invited Katrina to join him on the dance floor by referring to her as "Katrina Kapoor" and also took a jibe at her about the missed opportunity at becoming Katrina Khan. All these interesting gossips and tidbits have made the wedding an event to remember!

With neither one of the rumored (almost confirmed) couple ever coming out in the open regarding their relationship status, media often resorted to speculation and wild theories. One such instance was when the eagle eyed paparazzi caught the two at a lunch spot in Barcelona, the location for Zoya Akhtar's next. Whenever either Singh or Padukone have some free time on their hands, they have been spotted traveling together, more so within India recently. Is this an indication of things getting serious? One can only hope!

While the rumors about sports royalty Virat Kohli and Bollywood siren Anushka Sharma being a couple was old news by 2014, the year saw the awesome twosome come out in the open regarding their relationship. Kohli confirmed that he is in a relationship and his lady love too has acknowledged their couple status. When this gossip turned out to be indeed true, invigorated gossipmongers have turned to predicting possible wedding dates for the couple, wherein some cases they even went as far as speculating about Kohli popping the question at various romantic locations around the world.

With the movie's release just around the corner, the fact that Tevar's (2014) leading stars Arjun Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha spend a lot of time with each other might seem nothing out of the ordinary. But the camaraderie that these two young heartthrobs share seem to suggest there's more than meets the eye. With Kapoor's younger sister Anshula Kapoor too taking a liking to Sinha, it appears that we may see the two sharing a lot of "quality time" together.

There are wisps of a cold war brewing between Neetu Kapoor and Katrina Kaif which strengthened when Mrs Kapoor cropped out Kaif's picture from a photo taken at a family function. A happy welcome of Kaif into the Kapoor household seems to be a farfetched dream at the moment. Thus, the young lovebirds did the next best thing and are rumored to have moved into a posh apartment in Bandra, with images of them visiting an interior designer flooding the Internet. This seems to confirm that the two now share a common address and the fans wait with bated breaths for wedding bells.
