Happy Birthday Prachi Desai!

Today BollyCurry celebrates the birthday of the beautiful Dancing Diva, Prachi Desai!

Desai was born in Surat, Gujarat. She studied at St. Joseph Covent and completed her education from Surat. Desai's fortunes changed dramatically when her photos landed at Balaji Telfilms and she got called for an audition. She was just 17 when she auditioned for Kasamh Se, a television show that aired on Zee TV. This gorgeous lady also participated in Season 2 of the dance reality show Jhalak Dhikhhla Jaa, which she further won and escalated her ladder to success.

Desai's most memorable performances till date include Rock On!! (2008), Once Upon a Time Mumbaai (2010) and an item song performance "Awari" in Ek Villian (2014). Rock On!! was her debut movie alongside Farhan Akhtar. Desai plays Farhan's wife in the film and was lauded with praise for her performance in her first film. Next followed Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai starring Ajay Devgan, Emraan Hashmi and Kangana Ranaut. This leggy lass was nominated for every Supporting Actress Award that season and she won almost all of them. Desai also tried her hands on comedy and did Life Partner (2009) opposite Tusshar Kapoor, but she only got noticed in a comic role as Ajay Devgn's sister in Rohit Shetty's Bol Bachchan (2012). Alongside these, Desai played a beautiful girl-next-door in the romantic drama I, Me Aur Main (2013). Most recently, she showed off her dancing skills in "Awari", Ek Villian's item song. Her performance fetched her rave reviews from critics and audiences.

Desai's upcoming films include 1920 London (2014) and Udyan Express (2015) in Kannada.

1. Desai was eliminated in Jhalak Dhikhhla Jaa before she came back into the show via a wild-card entry, and subsequently won the show.
2. Till 8^th grade, Desai was a excellent student. But later on she lost interest in studying.

3. During her school years, Shahid Kapoor was Desai's favorite hero. Now, it is Hrithik Roshan.

4. Desai enrolled into a BA course in Mithibai College.

5. Ekta Kapoor refers Desai as her "blue-eyed baby".
