Today marks the birthday of two Bollywood actors who started their journey as child artists and have since then become an integral part of the Bollywood film fraternity. BollyCurry, along with fans, celebrate the birthdays of the immensely talented Aamir Khan and the heart-warming Farida Jalal!

Aamir Khan was born on 14th March, 1965 to Tahir Hussain and Zeenat Hussain. He is the eldest of  four siblings in his family including the actor Faisal Khan. His uncle is the producer-director Nasir Hussain and in 2008, Khan's nephew, Imran Khan, made his debut with Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na of which he released under his production house.

Khan started his career as child artist in the movie Yaadon Ki Baarat (1973) and followed it up with an appearance in Madhosh (1974). He also did an experimental role in Holi (1984) before his debut as the lead solo in Qaymat Se Qayamat Tak (1988). The film won the Filmfare Awards for both the debutantes: Khan and Juhi Chawla. From there, there was no turning back for Khan. He has starred in various hit movies such as Dil (1990), Dil Hi Ke Manta Nahin (1991), Jo Jeeta Wahi Sikander (1992), Andaz Apna Apna (1994), Rangeela(1995), Raja Hindustani (1996), Dil Chahta Hai (2001), Lagaan (2001), Fanaa (2006) andRang De Basanti (2006). He produced and directed the absolutely touching film Taare Zameen Par in 2007. The film was a huge hit and won a National Award as well. To his record, Khan is a part of three of the all-time highest grossing films in Bollywood: Ghajini (2008), 3 Idiots (2009) and Dhoom 3 (2013).

Besides acting, Khan donates a lot of his time to social issues and events. He was appointed as the National Brand Ambassador by UNICEF in 2011 and is also the host of Satyamev Jayate Season 1 and 2, which is produced under his home production. He is also the recipient of Padma Shri award bestowed to him in 2003 and Padma Bhushan award given to him in 2010.

Khan married Reena Dutta in 1986 but the two divorced in 2002. He then married Kiran Rao in 2005. He has three children, two with Reena Dutta and one with Kiran Rao.
