B-Town's Favourite Pranksters!

Laughter is the best medicine, they say. If a day comprises of a little joy and a little fun then come what may, nothing can down the spirits to never rise again. A light moment in a long and tiring day has great potential to lift the spirits and the stress of the tiresome day. With the month of April being here, it is definitely the season that serves as a reason for some pranks to lighten the atmosphere around. Remember those days in school when April Fool's day always was an opportunity to laugh with a series of endless pranks to the extent that the teachers had to step in and stop the mischief with strict warnings to the pranksters? While you and I had a fair share of pranks during the school days to be nostalgic of, this season BollyCurry takes a stock of the pranksters who've got a reputation in the industry. They too have long and tiring days and often longer working hours as compared to us and a heavy load of work surely calls, at least, for a light dose of fun. Without much ado, let's have a look at Bollywood's famous pranksters!

Talk about pranks and pranksters and no guesses for who tops the list! Yes, it is Akki dearest.

Khiladi Akshay Kumar is notorious for a prank that he had effortlessly pulled up on Vidya Balan during the Heyy Baby days. Buzz is, while shooting for the movie in Sydney, Akki decided to pull a neat one on Vidya and donned the garb of an Australian journalist, all complete with voice and accent, and called up Vidya requesting for an interview. The unsuspecting belle cheerfully obliged and answered each question shot to her by the 'Australian journalist' for the next 20 minutes completely oblivious to the fact that the entire cast and crew of the show was hearing a live telecast of her interview on the sets. All thanks to Akki who'd put the phone on speaker mode during the questioning! We can only imagine how embarrassed Vidya must've been when the entire crew burst out in peals of laughter on her return to the sets.

Vidya was a victim of Akki's pranks not just once but twice. On the sets of Bhool Bhulaiyya Vidya made the mistake of leaving her phone unattended. With Akki and his notorious reputation, that was a big mistake, Vidya! What happened next? The dance director received a mischievous text from Vidya's phone that elicited a stinging reply in response. And to say that Vidya was irked by it is only an understatement and what followed next was definitely not the prettiest thing, especially when Vidya realized that the whole fiasco was Akki's idea of a joke!

Next on our list to follow close behind is Ajay Devgn. In fact, this dude is known in the industry to whip up pranks on the spur of the moment. On the sets of Golmaal Returns,  Kareena Kapoor fell victim to Ajay's pranks often is what we hear. But this one instance had everyone laughing their hearts out and Bebo escaping the sets clinging on to dear life! What happened, you ask? Ajay had managed to lay his hands on fake bombs - the all light, no boom type - and innocently hurled one at Bebo. When Bebo saw the hissing object approaching her, needless to say, she couldn't really grasp what it was and sprang from her seat to run screaming off the sets while an innocent expression graced Ajay's face!

On another occasion, while shooting outdoors for Prakash Jha's Apharan, Ajay managed to sneak in sweets comprising bhang and distributed them on the sets! What happened next can best be left to our readers' imaginations!

Next on our list is the guy who doesn't spare anyone when it comes to playing pranks - not even his wife, Aishwariya Rai Bachchan. That's right we're talking about Abhishek Bachchan. At the music launch of Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey, what Ash had to go through could have been embarrassing for any woman but Ash being Ash was incredibly sporting. After the event, when Ash was strolling around, Abhi suddenly grabbed her from behind and dragged her into a room. The flabbergasted expressions on the faces of the people inside and out told Ash the story of what had happened but instead of being embarrassed, Ash burst out laughing adding to the shock of everyone present. Now that's what we call being sporty!

During the Om Jai Jagadish days, Abhishek's on-screen lady love, Tara Sharma, had to bear the brunt of his pranks. When Tara was called by the director, Anupam Kher, for a shot, Tara realized that the door refused to budge! Someone had locked the door from the outside. Bangs and whams were to no avail until Abhi himself decided to step in and relieve Tara of her distress.

Last, but definitely not the least, we have Mr. Perfectionist, Aamir Khan himself! This incident dates back to his Andaz Apna Apna days, as his co-stars reminisce. Apparently, Aamir used to offer to read the palms of the various members of the crew and while the unsuspecting innocents listened intently, Aamir would suddenly spit in their palms! His Dil co-star, Madhuri Dixit Nene, also had to face many instances during the shoot when Aamir would suddenly scare her with his notorious tricks.

But there was also an instance when Aamir had it back on himself. Apparently, Raveena Tandon and Rajkumar Santoshi ganged up to teach Aamir a lesson. What they did was simple but effective. Knowing Mr. Perfectionist, they merely told him that the shoot schedule had been extended and he was required to stay back for his scenes, and needless to say, Mr. Perfectionist bought it! He worked on his scenes only to realize the camera wasn't rolling!
