The Kat-Vidya Lavani Clash

Kat's Lavani item song, "Chikni Chameli", from the much anticipated Agneepath has been topping all music charts lately, affirming Kaif's position as 'B-Town's best item girl'. However, the "Ooh La La" siren, Vidya Balan isn't far behind either! Our sources reveal, Balan has signed the dotted lines to do an item number in Vinod Vidhu Chopra's, Ferrari Ki Sawaari.

The item track in which Vidya will next be seen in is also rumored to be Lavani. Balan is all set to take on Katrina's "Chikni Chameli" with her take on the dance, incorporating the usual energetic steps but also with a new twist!

The news has also been confirmed by director, Rajesh Mapuskar. Apparently, the very popular "Chikni Chameli" has inspired the team and Vidya to do much better than worry them of competition or comparison!

The shooting of the song is believed to start in a month.

Do we see the next Munni-Sheila in the making? Either way, we wish good luck to both!

I love item songs & all but THERE ARE SO MANY these days! Sort of getting tired of it.

I want those grand bollywood shaadi songs to be popular again like in kkkg & those type of movies.

Chikni Chameli is NOT Lavani. Lavani is what Rani Mukerji will be doing in Aiyya supposedly and Lavani is what Madhuri has done in Anjam.

Please don't get indulged in items songs Vidya. You have the talent for versatile acting. Do that and stop Bollywood from being known as worthless. My sincere request. We need actresses who can boldly say a no to shake a leg simply for instant fame and instant money. Once in a while, an item song can come in but when it is always like that, you lose respect for Bollywood films.
