Surprisingly, it's not ever-famous Salman and Shah Rukh facing it off again. Or even Aamir and Shah Rukh. This time, it's on-again, off-again best buds Farah and Shah Rukh in the limelight.

Just when it seemed that the two had finally buried the hatchet, both parties revealed that they will be releasing their 2012 projects on the same day - August 31st.

Farah Khan will be promoting her husband's fantasy adventure, Joker, starring Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha, while Shah Rukh's Student of The Year, co-produced by Dharma Productions, sees newbies Alia Bhatt, Siddharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan making their first appearance.

There have been many rumours about the cold war between Farah and Shah Rukh since the director chose Akshay Kumar to star in her comic-caper, Tees Maar Khan. Later, there was much buzz about the actor allegedly throwing a party to celebrate the box office failure of the same.

To tighten matters worse, Farah has also expressed her desire to work with Salman Khan on her next project, who we all know isn't exactly on friendly terms with Shah Rukh.

This collision of box office dates may just be a complete coincidence, but everyone's eyes will sure be on who will emerge victorious.

It's about time Farah realises that her movies only become hits if SRK stars in them otherwise her directing skills are so bleh :l I'm so sick of this "Farah vs SRK" crap. SRK gave farah a foothold in bollywood & instead of being thankful to SRK, she gets her shitty husband to spread negative comments about SRK - CHEAP PUBLICITY.

Even if I do watch Joker, it will ONLY be because of Akki. Will defo watch SOTY cos Karan Johar ALWAYS does an excellent job ;)2012-01-18 13:57:17

Ppl will go for either one of them on same day as they wont get tickets for the later compromsing there , but later on the coming weeks will prove which movie ppl want to give thumps up to

Fantasy adventure ya right , every one apart me had seen TMK and knows

SOTY is making no noise as of yet , lets see

Its story , acting and presentation is wat attracts audience , even with dumb story line some movies went on to become record breaking hits, depends on star power and both the movie cast are on same level, akki need a break badly , so lets see

wishing luck to the one which really has a good story and brilliant way of telling it and good actors

Honestly it seems more likely ppl will go for Joker rather than Student of the year but lets see Karan is good at promoting his new ventures so u never know! Shirish is a loser and a wannabe celeb so I would root for SRK.

@Chirta89 l wish what you say would happen bcuz l am a VERY BIG FAN OF AKKI but all the college kids will be going for SOTY and it just might be a hit (like JTYJN)
